There is so much that goes into preparing my classroom so that each one of my students can have the best academic, social, and emotional experience! 80% of our children and families are in a low-income household, making it difficult for parents to provide the appropriate supplies needed for the school year. Although our school leaders do everything in their power to help their faculty with the necessary school supplies, the majority of it falls on the teachers. We need to decide what supplies we can afford to buy on our own or what to eliminate off of an already necessary list. My students deal with so much uncertainty and instability in their day-to-day lives. I try to make up for some of that by creating a safe, structured and nurturing academic environment. Your donations will be appreciated far beyond what you can imagine.
