Reading is one of our school's Improvement Goals this year. Comfortable seating encourages students to curl up with a good book and enjoy time relaxing in another world. Reading supports all content areas by building vocabulary, reducing stress, and improving concentration. Comfy seating enhances students' overall experiences in the library, especially during literacy promoting events such as Poetry Cafes and Silent Reading Parties. We lack sufficient comfortable seating in our library. While we have plenty of tables and hard chairs, we are unable to provide enough relaxed seating for students to enjoy. We would like to increase our offerings of comfy areas in our library in order to promote reading!
