This sensory exploration table will provide a variety of learning activities for my students through out the school year. Not only will it provide different sensory experiences, but the students will also be developing fine motor skills, math skills, and language skills. The development of fine motor is extremely important and this sensory table will give the children the opportunity to shovel, pour, and build which will help develop strength for drawing, cutting, and writing. As the students explore the sensory table they will acquire appropriate math skills such as conservation, measuring, and counting. While playing alongside their peers, the children's language skills will develop and their vocabulary will become enhanced. The children will also be learning turn taking and problem solving skills, which will help them in all areas of development.
