My students are eager to show me what they know and what they can do. Some of my students have some difficulties showing me what they know since they may be nonverbal, and have fine motor difficulties, which may hinder their writing abilities. Using iPads in the classroom will be beneficial for my students to use academic applications such as clicker sentences where students can arrange sentences in order as they learn their sight words. Other applications that can be used is fine motor applications to strengthen their hands and fingers for writing. Some of these applications include tracing and fine motor games. My students learn best with hands on activities and visuals. These types of apps are very motivating and stimulating for my students. This will be a great way to assess them and see what they really know. As their teacher, I never want to limit my students because of their disability, instead, I want to help them use the right tools and equipment to learn, understand and show what they know.
