The multi-cultural dolls and animals will be used in our block center. Students love working together to create houses, buildings, and zoos, to name a few! These dolls and animals will enhance their interaction. "Playtime is precious. It builds brain pathways for thinking, creativity, flexibility, empathy and many other lifelong skills." Heather Shumaker. Many of my students do not have access to engaging toys at home. Many have not had the experience of quality preschool. For many, our classroom is their first experience with play and toys! They are instantly drawn to the toys, and gain language skills through peer interactions with play.
