The bulk of what I am requesting is focused on science. I want to use these materials to encourage and promote enthusiasm towards science. In requesting these items I not only focused on practical tools needed in the classroom to carry out hands-on experiments and observations, but I also chose some literature fit just for my students. Exposing my students to science based, interesting, and engaging literature is a strategy I would like to implement to reach my overall goal. My students are not exposed to the possibilities that exist for them to pursue a future in STEM. I would like to influence and impact their dreams. I want to push them to reach for greatness and not settle for anything less.
