Our school emphasises the use of a learning program called i-ready to supplement the math and reading curriculum. The program is quite helpful, and students enjoy learning through it. Thus, we are trying to get students to work in the program for about 45 minutes a week. We need one more device---a tablet or laptop will do---so that two groups of 6 students cando i-ready every day. My 36 students are divided into groups of six. Each group does i-ready first thing in the morning or afternoon upon arriving in the classroom. Unfortunately, one of our computers is damaged beyond repair, and now some students are unable to complete their desired time using the program. A tablet will guarantee an opportunity for every student to complete the required weekly i-ready participation and will greatly increase their math learning skills.
