Our students come from generational poverty in this small town area that is located on a Native American Reservation. These kids often have many day to day basic needs. There are many mornings that children come late to school hungry and tired. The snacks will be helpful with help fill them up. They feel comfortable coming into the nurse's office where we care for them and help them feel prepared for their upcoming day. Head lice is prevalent in our area. By making smother kits (lice comb/shower cap) we can help them, along with their parents, tackle this ongoing issue.

About my class
