We could do SO many projects with these but here is a specific one... This year I want to introduce 4th grade students to the vast number of careers that they could have one day that are related to STEAM (Science Technology Art and Math). I want to take our research to the next level with Makey Makey kits! Students will choose one STEAM career and research it. Then create a painting of themselves in that career and will use makey makey and scratch to create an audio presentation for their painting. By using Scratch students will record audio of themselves explaining the career and then use Makey Makey to connect the audio to their painting. Then students will present their findings to another grade level so this project will impact multiple grade levels! Then present to younger grades! :) (Makey Makey kits will be amazing for a variety of other projects as well including creating musical instruments that really play out of cardboard and copper, play the piano with bananas, truly the options are limitless!)
