The children in our school are from an economically deprived area. Their exposure to most technology is at school in the form of testing, educational apps, and programs. As recently as last school year, our children were able to use technology in the classroom. Unfortunately, our well used Promethean boards, that we depended on to move our children into a technology world, came to an end. Outdated and no longer repairable the boards were removed leaving us with two computers to share among 25 children in each class. This grant will allow the kindergarten rooms to bring desperately needed technology tools back into the rooms allowing them the chance to learn in a variety of ways.
