For many students, when they can see clear visuals, they can better understand and learn. They "get it." My students have various learning challenges and therefore benefit from learning using different modalities. A powerful approach that would motivate and benefit them is the use of visuals. However, I don’t even have a laptop for teacher use in my classroom. I want to show my students visual models such as pictures from the internet, powerpoint presentations, short video clips related to academic content, project teacher-created questions for Jeopardy-style review games. I want to project visuals and videos that are available as part of the curriculum. I need a laptop to make this possible. With your help, I can provide my students with visual supports that will support them in their learning and also help to motivate them.
