Students will be able to use 2-d shapes to learn about their attributes. They can use them to make 3-d shapes. Once they see the 2-D shapes combine to make a shape with depth (3-d shape) it will help students check for understanding. Students can use their creations to describe 3-D shapes. These materials will be used during centers, whole group, and small group instruction. It will give children opportunites to use their imagination and build different objects with the tiles. Students can also use the materials for scenes and settings for theatre or dramatic play. These materials can also be used for free choice or student choice.
