At my school, poor attendance is a big issue. We need to motivate students to get here. We would like to have students making things like T-shirts, cups, stickers, decals, school spirit gear. The students would use Cricut vinyl cutters, vinyl, and heat presses to make the items. Other students would be able to obtain items based on their attendance. The students would get a chance to make and receive from each other. They could also have a chance to share what they make with the community by running fundraisers with their creations. All students would have an opportunity to make, give and receive. As the art teacher, I am also looking forward to this project as an opportunity to give my students a digital design learning opportunity.
