Last year, our school developed a positive behavior support system as a way to encourage and reward students for appropriate behavior and effort in the classroom. The downside of implementing a system like this is that you have to provide reinforcement opportunities for your students. Often we try to do activities or field days that involve the entire school, but when surveying our students, many of them wanted personalized or school logo related gear. The problem with this is that these items get extremely expensive when ordering for hundreds of children. The Cricut maker and heat press will allow us the opportunity to create items for our school store at a fraction of the price! Not only can we save money, but we can also get creative with how we engage students in these activities. Students will learn how to use graphic design and photo editing programs, learn how to develop and mass-produce larger orders, all while developing teamwork and work-readiness skills.
