This robot kit will allow students in our building to experience what it means to go through the engineering design process. They will participate in a free robotics club that will meet throughout the school year to work on all things robotics. They will observe a challenge/obstacle, design a machine that can tackle said obstacle, build their design, test their design, and improve their design. This robot kit will allow students participating in our club to take pride in their creations, and experience engineering first hand. Taking part in such a process will also build collaboration and cooperation skills among my students. This will light a spark for some to be future engineers, mechanics, coders... who knows what such an experience could spark. Whatever the case, they will be more prepared for their future and more aware of what technological careers are available.
