My below-level readers need good quality headphones so they can hear the phonics intervention program we use in our classroom. This program, Lexia, supports me in providing differentiated instruction for my below-level readers. It provides phonics instruction and data to better help me meet their individual needs. The headphones will allow my students to concentrate and stay engaged with the lessons. Since Lexia's lessons are built around the specific needs of each student, my boys and girls need to listen intently and block out the activity in the classroom. These headphones will do this, thus allowing my students to master the skills that will make them independent readers.
