My scholars are from a low income, urban setting where resources pertinent to learning are not readily accessed or acquired. Despite this, they come to school with eager hearts and minds to be succored by teachers who are waiting to transform them into lifelong learners. My scholars need technology to reach their full potential; they deserve to be prepared for the world around them. Due to lack of home internet, most students use the computers and Chromebooks in the classroom to complete classwork. The Chromebooks would be used all day and I plan on increasing the amount of interaction we have on the Chromebooks. My students will be using Chromebooks daily for various activities. They will be using Chromebooks to enhance almost any classroom activity: science projects, social studies research, reading practice, and math games. Chromebooks are a way for students to access engaging learning opportunities, and also a way for students to learn at their own pace. They can help students to reach their learning goals and boost fluency skills in reading and math.
