We are looking to begin developing individualized communication books for each student that is learning this system of communication. Currently, we do not have funding for these books, and we must pay for them out of our own pockets. This includes communication binders, lanyards, wall hooks, ink for picture icons, Velcro, laminate paper and reinforcement items such as edibles and toys. We currently have seven students in the classroom and six of them are using alternative communication and will need books. We are also receiving two more non-verbal students in the next few weeks who may also need communication books. Any support is appreciated and will go a very long way in helping these kids find their voice.
