I believe students learn more with the use of technology since this world is filled with it. Now, they are able to take selfies and video themselves. Using an application called Flipgrid integrated into the iPad mini, they are able to explain their thinking or ideas. Students can move around the room with the device and feel comfortable using it. While using Flipgrid, students will be able to display it on the board and everyone will be able to see what ideas they came up with. When using the iPad mini, they will be able to record themselves, and turn it in to the teacher. The teacher will then be able to see and use it for grading purposes. If it is an interactive activity, students will be able to see everyone’s video. Not only can they create videos, but they can create their own portfolio to show their parents during open house. In that portfolio, they will be taking pictures of their daily assignments and save them. It is a good way of tracking their work. Not only is it beneficial for students, and teachers, but for parents as well.
