My students are currently working on in-ground gardening and their aim to grow crops in an organic way. However, they are facing a lot of challenges like keeping good soil and compost in place, weeds, drainage, pests, etc. By using raised beds would be easier for them to grow crops organically. They can also save a lot of time since they don't have to pull out weeds every day as raised beds keep weeds away. They only get to do field activity once or twice a week because the rest should be indoor classes so growing crops in raised beds for most of my students will help them enjoy what they are doing especially to those who have health issues like back problems, students who have a hard time bending over, etc. These raised beds are really important in my horticulture classes and will surely help motivate my students to work harder when they see their plants growing well because of better conditions that raised beds to ​provide to plants.
