This graphic novel will make a difference in students' learning because it will provide them with access to a different literary style - one that they typically don't have access to in a classroom setting. Expanding my students' knowledge of different literary genres exposes them to new ways of thinking and analyzing text. This is an opportunity for students to engage with classical literature in a way that is accessible to them. I see students with the desire to read new things, by authors that offer a different perspective from their own. By exposing students to new authors and new ways to read a classical piece of literature, they will develop a greater appreciation and understanding of an unfamiliar story.

About my class
