I would like to do a Book Club with my healthcare students with the book, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I think it is important for each student to have a copy of the book to read as we discuss the racial bias that still occurs in the medical community. My students are planning to work in healthcare, so it is important to expose them to the topic of racial inequality in healthcare. We are currently planning in person instruction, But if we change to full remote students will need their own copy of the book at home.
