The use of a magnetic easel is a daily activity in my classroom. We gather in the meeting area as a class to create learning experience charts to refer to when doing small group or independent work. In addition we started a new phonics program called Fundations which is a multi sensory approach to teach Phonics in which there are magnetic components which my students are eager to use. The use of this magnetic easel will make learning more meaningful to my students as they will assist and take ownership of their learning in creating experience charts as well as to enhance and accommodate tactile learners.
