Physics, like any science class, is best studied with a hands on approach. The materials I am seeking will provide for my students hands on learning opportunities in the realm of classic mechanics and in the study of simple machines. Students will be able to conduct experiments with objects traveling with constant velocity, allowing them to analyze actual laboratory-generated data. The students will be able to use the data to generate predictions regarding the relationship between velocity, time, and distance. Students will also be able to perform experiments using the pulleys to demonstrate the concepts of mechanical advantage and work and their relationship.
