These pens will allow students to create interest and high contrast in their works of art that will explore pattern, symmetry, contrast, and problem-solving. Students explore line quality in Art Studio and these pens will allow students to have another option for mark making. In general, students love choice and options, so providing these pens in addition to our other class mark-making tools will be a welcomed new media. Students will learn how a white mark can create a striking contrast and create rich detail and layering. The lesson will provide an opportunity for students to depict images that represent their concept of self at this point in their lives.
