We love studying the water cycle and learning how our water has traveled through the recycling scientific process from the beginning of time. It always amazes students to read about, see, and experience how water changes form through the cycle. These special materials will give students a real life, hands on inquiry into exploring these concepts. I will reinforce these key scientific standards based projects with practice by using the classifying cloud cards to show students the different formations and pattern of clouds, or evaporation and condensation, as they move through the water cycle. Also, I will use the cloud forming apparatus to show the process of water condensing and becoming a part of weather patterns. Furthermore my students will have the opportunity of experiencing how dew is formed from condensation on the surface of the Earth by experimenting with the making dew kit. To conclude our study we will use the water cycle making kit to bring all these individual processes into one complete cycle and experience the whole water process that gives us our rain water, clouds, fresh water, and salt water cycles.
