We are always trying to prepare our students for the future and for 21st century skills and they do have a thirst for knowledge. We currently have older equipment for our broadcasting which is showing major signs of "wear and tear" and we are preparing to find other ways of continuing to broadcast the announcements for our school every morning. While continuing to conduct the morning announcements, our students will be able to collaborate with each other on a different level with this iPad as well as create, problem solve, and work on their writing skills when creating announcements. The announcements help us to create a sense of community in our schools as well as to improve student motivation and productivity. Students will be able to create different backdrops using the Green Screen application on the iPad for the morning announcements and choose creative videos to use on special occasions such as a video of Martin Luther King on January 20th while talking about the contributions of Martin Luther King. Students will build on their literacy skills in the area of technology, communication, reading, and writing. This will give our students motivation and confidence to create wonderful announcements and to be a part of something big.
