A tablet can be used to provide my students with apps that can be used as voice output devices, and can help give them a voice. Children who cannot speak can use the iPad to communicate their wants and needs during the day. In addition, an iPad can be used to provide a variety of educational applications to teach basic concepts, reading and phonics skills, and receptive and expressive language. Lastly, an iPad can be used as a great reinforce, and to teach carryover of skills we've learned in our sessions.
