My student will be able to feel cared for and experience comfort at school that they might not be getting at home. They will learn to enjoy a quiet area for reading time, quiet time to deescalate anger and emotions as needed and practice how to take care and share with peers in class. My students will take advantage of the bean bags and put them to great use by being able to feel how a comfortable quiet area should feel like. They will have the opportunity to use the beanbags when needed to deal with a meltdown/problems and need time alone, a quiet area to relax and enjoy a great book in class on a soft surface. They can also meet their therapist and other staff services in the comfort of our class.
