These snacks will support a positive incentive program for class using rewards to encourage students to act responsibly in all areas of school life. Rewards are given in my English 9 class for answering higher-order thinking questions, following the standard mode of dress code with manners, and maintaining a 94% attendance rate. Raffle tickets are two-part; one part is for the student to keep (rewards responsibility), one part is deposited into a drum and is made part of the weekly class raffle. Nearly all of my students are from low-income households, so an instant win prize positively impacts their day!
