Parental Involvement goal for this school year is to bring the love of reading, listening and sharing stories to the families. The leveled and interests books will be part of the class library. Students and their families will be able to borrow books to read at home. This activity will encourage the exploration of interesting topics and enhance curiosity. A class caterpillar cut out on the classroom wall will hold all book titles read. As each family reads and shares their readings through pictures, drawings, and oral sharing, students will witness the caterpillar growing longer on the wall. A celebration follows at the end of the school year. The Scholastic Magazines encourage the Social Studies Home School Connection.
