Attaching posters or student work to cinder block walls is difficult. Items fall down, leave marks on the walls, and generally are not visually attactive. Bulletin boards allow students a place to display their work. This builds their pride and serves as an incentive to achieve. The boards can be decorated and changed to keep the classroom more visually interesting and fun. These students love to have jobs, so maintaining the bulletin boards will be added to the classroom job assignments. By donating to provide our classroom with bulletin boards, you will help to create a more aesthetically pleasing environment, and mostly help to build student self-esteem and sense of worth. Increasing self-esteem eventually increases student academic achievement which in itself builds self-esteem and sense of accomplishment.
