The first time I tried a new instrument was in elementary school, and this propelled me into the teacher I am today. I am a classically trained musician in the Detroit region, and I would love to give our young students the opportunity to try instrumental music as well. One of our goals this year is to give each student access to strong instrumental music instruction. This project will give our students a chance to try something they may never get the opportunity to try outside of school. Instrumental music plays a vital role in the development of a well-rounded student. We would love your support in our efforts to foster the emotional and creative development of our students by offering various instruments in conjunction with their other academic studies. Who knows what musical geniuses may arise from this project?
