Our class is filled with 16 fabulous first graders who have made it through this quick expansion and change like soldiers. They appreciate the supplies we have and even asked that our holiday party this year include only school supplies rather than exchanging gifts. Of course treasure box donations weren't turned down. They all work so hard and I do everything I can provide a fun and safe learning environment for them, but with a teacher's salary, I am unable to purchase all of the necessary equipment to complement the school's technology. These kids deserve to have the same opportunity as the other classrooms; they didn't create the budget crunch but they are affected by it.

About my class
