With this program, artists and presenters challenge and inspire our students to write their own stories using a sequence of writing steps. Once the story writing is complete, students perform and showcase their stories in front of an audience. The program has allowed our students to benefit in multiple ways and is reflected in their academic progress. Every step in the writing includes the different aspects of editing, grammar, revision, punctuation, pronunciation, and word study in a fun and informal context that helps students to improve their writing skills without the boredom of just lecturing or repetition. When they finish editing they present their stories in a paper (publishing) and they practice how to present their stories in a theaters play style that helps them to internalize content, concepts, themes, and plots.
