My students as I am learning, are all tactile learners . Each learning through physical activities rather than listening or watching. These couple days have been a learning experience for me, being a first year special education teacher. Within my classroom I do not have the tools to support my students' learning. I hope with these hands-on materials , I can teach and support their learning needs. The sensory items chosen will help stimulate the brain and improve their sensory processing output. The items will also help in coordination as well as fine and gross motor skills. We have a long way to go, and my goal is to get each student performing to their best academic abilities. I am requesting liquid floor tiles, magnetic letters, and washable sensory noodles to name a few of the items needed. Thank you.
