The headphones will allow students to access many parts of our curriculum and will be used frequently! I have many students who are learning English or who have learning disabilities that require them to use headphones for many activities and testing accommodations. Some examples include having questions read to them, watching videos to support a reading activity, and listening to books that they otherwise couldn't access on their own. The Spanish set of science books will support our first science unit. Students can focus on the content with this support and it will help them gain confidence. My students will love the fraction games as they enjoy hands-on activities and fractions is one of the hardest topics for students in fifth grade to grasp! This extra support will help make it fun and not frustrating.
