Head Start students come with a deficits in social skills and the wobble chairs give them the opportunity to wiggle and move acceptably while at circle time, and large and small groups. The kids can expel energy in an socially acceptable manner. Because we can't sit still, the students will have the free will to wobble and move and listen and learn. I am hoping to get funding for 18 wobble chairs, one for each of my students, so that they can all have ownership over their very own chair. Helping to keep their attention while learning is my goal.
