The materials provided by this project will directly help students learn how to cook healthy, tasty meals. The hot plates and skillets will allow students to cook. The aprons will keep their clothes clean, but also make them feel like chefs! The books will teach students how to follow recipe directions. We have approximately 35 students who want to learn the art of cooking, baking, and food preparation. Several aspire to be professional chefs when they grow up. Your donation will help these students achieve their dreams! Our project meets at school after classes. Students come up with recipes and, in groups, learn the process of following recipes to create food. We work with ingredients that are both cheap and readily available. Students compile recipes as the year progresses and by the end, they take home a recipe book full of healthy, delicious meals!
