I use a ton of technology in my curriculum. Students access the lessons and learn about themselves over time. They can look at data and use it to change themselves socially, emotionally, academically and behaviorally. I will use the screen and speakers to show their work and the lesson's that I have created. All of this is kept in a digital file and used in their senior portfolios in order to graduate. I start this in kindergarten and teach through fourth grade. I have a total of 475 kids that would use these tools in my classroom. Students understand numbers and charts, its easy for them to see how they have changed over time or what they need to work on. The data collected provides the ability for change that is concrete to them and kids are concrete thinkers. The gifts I am asking for will literally show them the big picture on the importance of their education.
