My students will be starting a unit about space and the solar system. They will learn names of planets and their location with respect to earth. They will then have to have a visual representation of the material they learned. I want to provide them with different materials so that they can best present the material in a creative way. Students can do a simple poster with markers or crayons, a representation with balls and toothpicks and yarns on a poster board, a water color painting, a pastel painting on black construction paper. Any way they decide to present, I would want to help provide for the materials needed. They can then focus on turning in the best visual representation they can!!!! I want this to be a fun hands-on project for them.
