These books are from a diverse group of authors detailing stories of African and Hispanic culture. My students need to read stories where they can become the main character. They need to read literature that helps them process through their experiences and provides them with hope to reach for their dreams. These authors help students see that they can dream, and their story is worth sharing. My students' stories are worth being heard. The paper will allow them to brainstorm and write their stories on anchor chart paper. By reading these literature works, students can begin to express their story. Students will be able to write and read in a classroom that celebrates their story through the representation of their flags. That is why your donation to our classroom means so much to me and my students. We greatly appreciate you!
