In our classroom, we serve 25 bright, multilingual students from kindergarten through fifth grade. Our primary focus is on reading interventions, where we help students strengthen their literacy skills and bridge the gap between their native language and English. With students at varying stages of language acquisition, we use differentiated instruction and tailored reading strategies to meet their diverse needs. Our daily routine includes small group reading sessions, phonics and vocabulary-building activities, and individualized support aimed at improving reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence. Bilingual resources play a key role in making learning accessible and relevant, allowing students to make connections between languages and grow in their literacy journey. Each student is celebrated for their abilities and unique perspectives.
