Most music teachers find middle school general music to be kind of a beast. Finding topics that help expand a student's musical understanding that they are actually interested in varies for every student across all grades. Since my school does not own the middle school music curriculum, these ukuleles will really help my middle school scholars practice responsibility, patience, and diligence in developing a new skill. Scholars will be able to practice at their own pace, learn their favorite songs, and write their own songs. Students who are not confident in just singing or who do not want to join the after-school band will have their chance to play on an instrument.
