Our classroom is in need of a technology upgrade! We study chemistry, energy, cell biology, earth science, and health in classrooms of 30+ students. Currently, our classroom is 100% chalk-on-board and pencil-on-paper. Each class, we incorporate at least one lab or hands-on activity for students to experience the content we are covering. We want to use the amazing video and online resources available to enhance our learning by projecting from my laptop, a new digital microscope, and a new overhead document camera. Additionally, we are asking for a set of molecular model kits to replace our current (sticky) solution of marshmallows and toothpicks. This technology will help out our visual and tactile learners and assist in classroom efficiency by eliminating some of the repetitive erase-and-rewrite that comes with chalkboards and block scheduling.
