Students in my classroom love to read. They love learning about the outside world and how it relates to them! Although my library is limited, students spend time exploring new books daily. The majority of my students read 2-3 grade levels below state standard, and having a diverse library for them to engage with is crucial to helping build their enthusiasm for reading and growth! My students love to show each other their favorite pages of a book, their favorite characters, they love to retell their stories and draw about them. My goal this year is to help build stamina in reading, and reach those that are hesitant to books.
