My students want to create art in the styles of the artists we study. With the help of donors choose, my students will be able to paint Van Gogh’s Starry Night in impasto acrylics, and O’Keefe’s irises in watercolors. They will be able to mix colors to create their own Blue Dog in the style of George Rodrigue, paint goldfish like Henri Matisse, and express their own original folk art like Clementine Hunter. These paints, canvases and supplies will make art come to life for my students. They will experience what it feels like to express themselves through creating art in the styles of the masters.

About my class
