The Round Note Worthy classroom rug that we are requesting is a durable, beautiful, high-quality carpet that will give our students many musical opportunities. Students will be able to visually explore music notation by using the music staff in the center of the rug. Students will be able to play games that encourage compositional creativity, note reading, and awareness of music notation. We could sit around the edge of the carpet for activities, use the rug as a guide for dances, or use the rug itself as a teaching tool! Our worn-out carpet needs to be replaced with something that better suits the needs of our students. We need a new rug to improve the safety of our classroom and promote spatial awareness and organization. All students are musical, diverse, and special learners who deserve to have an environment in which they can safely create and musically explore. All students deserve to have an environment in their music classroom that is just as creative, expressive, and wonderful as they are!
