Diversity only begins to describe my class. Not only are my students culturally diverse, they are also diverse in their academic abilities and interests. Appropriate reading levels, along with interesting and relatable materials (both fiction and non-fiction) engage students, encouraging them to read, read, read! Students are more likely to read when they can relate to characters and their situations. Not only will students develop a life long love of reading, they will also learn life lessons along the way. By creating a diverse and multi-leveled classroom library, all my students will be successful in improving their reading abilities!
