The wiggle seats, stability ball, and other seating I am requesting for our classroom will largely help my students be able to view school in a new way. Instead of sitting at a desk and chair, they will have options that can help them feel comfortable and able to do their best work. Flexible seating can also elevate student engagement by allowing student to pair up, work in small groups, or have discussions as a whole class, which will help them learn to collaborate. Most importantly, my students will be meta-cognitive of their learning process and they will know what works best for them.
